Increase in progesterone levels causing breathlessness

This breathlessness is observed due to an increase in progesterone levels. This increased progesterone signals the brain to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the blood causing changes in regular breathing cycle. If you start breathing faster and exhale deeply in this period, don’t run to your gynaec. Believe us, it is normal. You will slowly adjust to the changed hormonal level and start breathing normally, like always. Go to your doctor only if you face severe shortness of breath or have other accompanying symptoms like confusion, pain in the chest, jaw, arm or anywhere else in your body.

Improve circulation to relieve breathlessness

Improving blood circulation in your body is an effective method to overcome shortness of breath. Mild exercising (approved by your doc) keeps you fit and improves the circulation. We are sharing a few other ways that would ensure an uninterrupted blood circulation making it easier for you during this phase-

  • We advise you not to slouch. Use correct posture while sitting, sleeping, or walking.
  • Use pillows to support your neck, knees and legs. We recommend you sleep on your left side.
  • Avoid intense breathing techniques that require fast breathing or holding your breath, like Kapalbhati Pranayama or Bhastrika Pranayama.
  • Practice long, soulful breathing like Nadi Shodhan Pranayama, also called Anulom Vilom, or alternate nostril breathing for 15-30 minutes every day.
  • Refer to the yoga section on iMumz app for sessions on breathing techniques to relieve your breathing problems.
  • Meditation sessions available on the app are another effective measure to help you calm your mind and practise intense breathing.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
